Windows 10

Windows 10 is here! (yes, they skipped Windows 9). It provides a similar desktop experience with which Windows 7 users were familiar. They brought back the Windows 7-style start menu and added a host of new features.

  • Microsoft's version of Siri or Google's version of Google Now
  • It can make appointments, open programs, check the weather and more

Project Spartan

  • Microsoft has been working hard to create a better web browsing experience, the result is Project Spartan
  • Chrome-like UI with built-in search
  • You can click on any section of a website to type out a comment for sharing with co-workers or friend

They also brought the multiple desktop feature from Mac and integrated it into Windows 10.

Faculty and Staff can download a copy of Windows 10 on your home computers here >>

Note: The EES -- Enrollment for Education Solutions -- provides licenses as a common-good for all CU-Boulder faculty and staff and departmental computers, for Microsoft products including Windows, Office, and certain CALs.
